Where Torah Meets Discovery

We are back in full swing after the Yomim Tovim! In many ways, this feels like a fresh beginning as we settle into our routines and look forward to a year filled with learning, discovery, and growth.

I've been visiting classrooms and meeting with our Morahs to introduce our new curriculum and share our goals for the year. We recently purchased curriculum resources from CECE (Chabad Early Childhood Education) for the first three parshios: Bereishis, Noach, and Lech Lecha. These thoughtfully developed materials weave General Studies into our Judaic learning, keeping Torah at the heart of the classroom experience.

Our goal is to make these connections part of the children's everyday learning. Exploring Parshas Noach, for example, opens the door to learning about animals, experimenting with sinking and floating, and creating art inspired by the colors of the rainbow. These hands-on experiences bring the parsha to life while building language, creativity, problem-solving, and fine-motor skills.

Meanwhile, our Toddler classes are exploring Creation over the next few weeks. Through sensory experiences, art, and discovery, they are developing new skills while learning to recognize Hashem's hand in the world around them. From there, they'll move naturally into a unit about Shabbos, connecting the six days of Creation to the special day Hashem gave us to rest and celebrate.

As the year unfolds, we look forward to nurturing each child's curiosity, independence, and love for Torah.

And the learning doesn't have to stop at pickup! We encourage you to continue these conversations at home. Ask your child about the parsha, invite them to tell you about the projects they bring home, or review their parsha questions together. These small moments help carry the joy and meaning of the classroom into your home.

Warmly,
Morah Miri
