From Our Classrooms to Your Seder Table
A Look Inside Our Classrooms!
Over the past few weeks, our classrooms have truly turned into a Pesach workshop and art gallery. The children have been busy creating projects, working on their Haggadahs, baking matzah, building pyramids, and preparing for our model Seders. We are so proud of how hard they have worked and how much they have learned.
Here is a peek inside each classroom and the beautiful Pesach learning that has been happening throughout the school.
Laughing Lilies:
In one of the Lilies’ Pesach projects, the children created a beautiful scene inspired by the Nile River. They painted the river and added baby Moshe floating along the water.
As their Morah shared, “The children really enjoyed this moment, showing excitement and joy as they moved the baby through the river.”
Darling Ducklings:
Our Ducks experienced Pesach through movement, sensory play, and hands-on projects.
They “hopped like frogs, built pyramids to show the friends’ hard work, walked through the Yam Suf, made matzah in our matzah oven, and made Eliyahu cups for our Seder tables.”
Through play and exploration, they were introduced to the Pesach story in a very meaningful and age-appropriate way.
Little Chickadees:
The Chicks explored Pesach through sensory projects, art, and simple storytelling. They learned about matzah, Pesach symbols, and began learning the story of Yetzias Mitzrayim through songs, movement, and circle time activities.
Cuddly Caterpillars:
The Caterpillars learned about the difference between challah and matzah and why we eat matzah on Pesach. They learned that challah dough rises with yeast, but matzah is made only from flour and water and stays flat. This helped them understand how Bnei Yisroel left Mitzrayim in a hurry and did not have time for their dough to rise.
Blooming Butterflies:
The Butterflies had a wonderful time preparing for their model Seder.
They “enjoyed saying the Ma Nishtana, singing the Pesach songs they learned, and making their own korech sandwich — they all wanted more!”
Friendly Frogs:
The Frogs class worked very hard all month on their Haggadahs and Pesach projects.
Their Morah shared that “each day, the children eagerly looked forward to the next step, excited to create, build, and bring their projects to life.”
Laughing Ladybugs:
The Ladybugs began their Pesach and Haggadah preparations right after Purim and have been working diligently ever since.
“Your children have worked very hard creating their Haggadah; each one is truly a unique masterpiece.”
The Kindergarten children created beautiful handmade Seder plates, and the Pre-K children made special pillows to lean on during the Seder. The children are so excited to use their Haggadahs with you at the Seder this year.
Busy Bees:
The Bees spent many weeks preparing for Pesach through Haggadah work, Pesach projects, and learning the story of Yetzias Mitzrayim in depth. They participated in a model Seder, practiced the order of the Seder, learned the songs and questions, and created meaningful projects to help them feel prepared and confident for Seder night.
We are so proud of all of the children and the hard work they have put into their Pesach learning and projects. Through art, music, baking, storytelling, and our model Seders, the children have truly experienced Pesach in a meaningful and hands-on way.
We hope you enjoy seeing their beautiful projects come home and that the children feel proud and excited to participate at your Seders.
Wishing all of our families a Kosher and Happy Pesach!
