Welcome to CMCH - A Note from Dassie
Hi there,
I’m Dassie New, Head of School and founder of CMCH. Whether this is your first child entering school or your third, I want to start by saying: I see you. Sending your little one into a new environment, even a wonderful one, can bring up big emotions. It’s totally normal to feel a mix of anticipation, hope, and yes, even some nervousness. You’re not alone.
At CMCH, our greatest joy is partnering with families like yours to create a warm, loving, deeply intentional space where children feel seen, safe, and excited to learn. Our school is grounded in the teachings and values of Chabad — meaning your child will be surrounded by an atmosphere filled with the warmth of Yiddishkeit and the joy of Hashem, every single day.
We teach this through the Montessori method: a gentle, child-centered approach that respects each child’s pace and individuality, while nurturing independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Montessori is not about rushing through milestones; it’s about honoring the unique journey of each child, guiding them with patience, purpose, and care.
When you walk through our hallways, you’ll hear tefillos softly sung in the morning, the hum of focused classrooms, and laughter between friends and teachers alike. You’ll find teachers on the floor with children, giving a lesson at eye level, or celebrating a moment of independence (“I did it myself!”). This is what it means to learn with love, and this is what we strive for every single day.
I can’t wait to welcome you in person soon. In the meantime, if you’d like to learn more about our philosophy, you can read more right here. My team and I will be by your side every step of the way. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally with any questions, concerns, thoughts — at any point of the year!
With warmth and excitement,
Dassie
