Dancing, Dreidels, and Donuts

Chanukah was celebrated all week long at CMCH, and the excitement could be felt in every classroom. Children took part in hands-on holiday activities that made the traditions of Chanukah come alive in fun and meaningful ways.

Throughout the week, students enjoyed latke making and sugar cookie baking, getting involved in each step of the process and proudly talking about their work. These activities gave children the chance to practice practical skills while learning about the customs of the holiday in a way that felt engaging and accessible.

Art projects were happening everywhere you looked. Each class created their own Chanukah menorahs, along with many other festive projects. The variety of materials and techniques reflected the different ages and stages of the children, and the finished work filled the classrooms with color and holiday spirit.

The week ended with a lively Chanukah party on Thursday. Music filled the building as our very own parent DJ Judith Mallinger, led a dance party! Children rotated through fun stations including photo booths, art activities, and latke-themed potato sack races. It was energetic, joyful, and full of excitement… exactly the kind of celebration the children love.

Thank you to our teachers and staff for planning such a fun and memorable Chanukah week for our students. A special thank you to Judith Mallinger for amping up our party! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday and the joy it brings.
